Bandar Anzali, Lalehzar Cemetery
In February 1990, immediately before the visit of Reynaldo Galindo Pohl, at the time the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, the authorities revealed the location of graves in Kolvir Cemetery in Bandar Anzali to a number of families claiming that their relatives, who had been killed in the 1988 massacre, were buried there.
Some of these families never accepted this claim, made a year and a half after the executions, because they had never been allowed to see the bodies. Based on evidence obtained from locals, they believe their relatives are buried in a mass grave in Lalehzar Cemetery in Bandar Anzali.
To see the exact location of the mass grave, you need to zoom in.
